Fun Tap Dancing & Ballet Classes

Toddler/Pre-School and Primary levels develop and improve basic skills, so that the student may move on to more difficult styles and levels of dance when appropriate. Students can “move up” through these classes according to their skill level.

Available Classes

Tutu Toddlers | (ages 2 1/2 - 3 1/2)
Our Toddler Pre-Ballet program is designed to give tiny dancers their first glimmer of movement, music, rhythm and dance. Classes are 45 minutes long and run in 10 week sessions. Parents are welcome to participate! Sessions begin in September, January and March.

Glitter Kids | (ages 3 1/2 - 7)
Students at this age choose a combo class of ballet/jazz or ballet/tap. No prior dance experience is necessary.

Tot Hop | (ages 5-7)
Jazz/Hip Hop

Primary:

Combo classes with more advanced skills are taught in these classes. | (ages 5-7)
Toddler/Pre-Scholl and Primary levels develop and improve basic skills, so that the student may move on to more difficult styles and levels of dance when appropriate. Students can “move up” through these classes according to their skill level and their teachers disgression.

Level I| (ages 7-9)
Ballet/Jazz combo classes are still available, but increase in length from 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min or 1 hr 30 minutes. Additional styles of Hip Hop and Lyrical are available. Tap classes become an hour in length. Lyrical/Tap/Hip Hop available for students 8 and up.

Level II and up | (ages 9&up)
Prior dance experience is necessary. Ballet and Jazz become separate I hour classes. Some students will be chosen for Pointe work. Pointe students are selected by their teacher according to specific guidelines for foot, ankle, and leg strength as well as technique.

According to demand there will be level I and II classes for older beginner students.


 

Adult Classes:

Adult classes in Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Hip Hop are subject to demand.

***Please note age divisions are approximate. At the teacher’s discretion, according to skill level, students may be placed up or down a level. Placement in classes is according to skill level first not age. All students enrolling in level I and up classes must be placed by Miss Linda

Solo, duet and trio classes:

Solo, duet, and trio classes for recital performance are selected by their teacher based on the following criteria:
1. Minimum age of 8 by January of the year the classes are taken. 2. 4 years of dance training at Riverline Dance Academy or Mary Ford Dance Studio 3. Must complete the entire dance season from September to June. Students enrolled in mini seasons or camps are not eligible for duets or trios. 4. Must have a positive outgoing attitude, be able to understand and accept technical corrections.

Private and semi-private lessons for personal benefit, or to be placed in a more advanced class, are also available.
